ABA Therapy
Milestones provides 1:1 ABA therapy to early intervention learners (up to age 8) in Horry County. Services are provided in the clinic setting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with home and community services provided as needed. Services are currently being provided by JTP Behavior Concepts, LLC.

ABA and Behavior Management Group Trainings
We have been providing Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Trainings since 2021 for teachers across South Carolina. The behavior-based training occurs over 2 days at Milestones Clinic, centrally located in Myrtle Beach. It includes classroom training conducted by multiple Board Certified Behavior Analysts as well as direct observation of private ABA Therapy.
This training is beneficial for teachers (special education, general education, and specials), administrators, and paraprofessionals that work hands-on with students diagnosed with autism and/or other intellectual disabilities. This group training would also be helpful for other service providers (occupational therapist, speech therapists, etc.) as well as daycare providers.
The training offers several practical, evidence-based behavioral techniques and strategies that can be immediately implemented to change student behavior. In depth information regarding functional behavioral assessment (FBA) and behavior intervention planning (BIP) are included within the training. We also focus on information and strategies related to behavior change and skill building, building and maintaining positive teaching relationships, and classroom behavior management strategies that could be useful for any classroom/ group setting!

40 hour Registered Behavior Technician Training (Coming Soon)
This developing program would provide the 40-hour training required to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification which could be used in order to gain employment, expand a provider's skill set, or a helpful parenting tool for all parents or caregivers. This training would also be available to current providers who are looking to outsource their training. This training would incorporate hands-on training which is essential to fully understand the terminology and strategies that are defined.
This training is not exclusively for individuals looking to start a career in ABA, but could also be beneficial for teachers, paraprofessionals, daycare providers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and parents. The techniques and strategies learned in this training can be applied to all children (and adults!).

Observations
We welcome anyone from prospective learner families, caretakers looking for more information on ABA in general, individuals looking to learn more about the field of ABA, and outside providers to come and tour the clinic to get more information on our programs as well as information regarding applied behavior analysis therapy. We are happy and excited to answer any questions you may have.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and human behavior. Practitioners examine the relationship between behavior and the environment, and how those interact and influence each other. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and meaningful to the individual, and to decrease unsafe behaviors and barriers to learning. ABA therapy programs are individualized to meet the needs of the learner.

How it is applied:

Focuses on teaching and improving skills that will move the learner towards independence (functional communication, adaptive learning skills, play and leisure skills, social skills, activities of daily living, etc).

Identifies behaviors that interfere with an individuals’ ability to learn new things, access new environments, or present as a safety risk to the individual or others. Replacement behaviors and adaptive skills are taught systematically using research-based strategies.

Who can provide ABA services?

BCBA: Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Provides program development, program management, and supervision. Must maintain credentials through the BACB and adhere to ethical and legal standards.

BCaBA: Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. Provides program development, program management, and supervision. Must maintain credentials through the BACB and adhere to ethical and legal standards. Must be supervised by BCBA

RBT: Registered Behavior Technician. Provides direct implementation of programming with client. Must maintain credentials through the BACB and adhere to ethical and legal standards. Must be supervised by BCBA
